Charlie's Laundry Soap |
| Jane's Review | I used Charlie's Soap on four loads of laundry. I followed the instructions and "cleaned" my machine with Charlie's first. Laundry detergent is important in my household, as I have a toddler who is a champ at getting clothes dirty. I had high hopes that Charlie's would remove the grime. Unfortunately, it didn't get rid of the Crayola washable finger paint :( Perhaps I need to use a larger dose. |
| Lisa's Review | I use Arm & Hammer Sensitive liquid laundry detergent and have been very happy with it. But was in the market for a skin sensitive, more eco-friendly, and affordable brand. So I was really looking forward to this product test. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about the small amount of Charlie's Laundry Soap that was needed per wash. I followed the instructions that suggest running one empty load with just the soap and a few towels to clean out old soap residue from my washer. I did 3 loads, one white load, one dark, and one delicate. I found no real difference with the performance from my old detergent and Charlie's. And the price per load seems to be about the same. Only 17 cents a load with Charlie's. So, I think a switch in laundry detergent is in order! |
| Stephanie's Review | My initial impression of Charlie’s soap, after reading through the accompanying instructions, was that it was going to waste more water than necessary, which seemed counter-productive (the instructions recommended washing clothes 2 or 3 times to to remove old soap reside and prevent possible initial itchiness). I did one non load with the soap as instructed but was nervous about “itchy” clothes. I had no problem with this. I liked the soap, my clothes smelled clean and I like that it is environmentally friendly. I did have one item that didn’t come clean from my youngest son, who is 20 months old. I continued to use Shout as I think it is the only thing that is actually getting my clothes clean in the first place. When I don’t use it the real stains and dirt don’t come out, regardless of the detergent. I am going to finish my liquid store bought detergent, but then I will buy Charlie’s Laundry Soap. |

| Lisa's Review | I have been using Burt's Bees Lip Balm for over a decade and thought nothing could ever come close to it. But after trying Badger Organic Lip Balm, I have to admit it is a great super rich lip balm! I am not going to pitch Burt's Bees (BB) and it is still my fav because I am more partial to the peppermint flavoring, but I am going to add Badger to my supply of lip balms. It comes in more flavors, goes on a little glossier, and feels like it moisturizes more. It is the same retail price as BB too. So if you are looking for a little more variety Badger has you covered. |
| Stephanie's Review | I love this, am using it every day and would certainly buy more. It goes on very smooth and glossy and it doesn’t taste bad or feel dry. It seems to last a long time too. I use Burt’s Bees pretty regularly and love the smell, but Badger seems to be more moisturizing. |
| Natural Value Trash Bags | |
| Lisa's Review | When I first went to use Natural Value Trash Bags, I thought they looked kind of flimsy and would never hold up. To my surprise they are very sturdy, well-made, and I love the green color (just looks like a cool eco-friendly bag). They are on the pricey side though. A box of 15 for $3.89. But are a great eco-friendly option as they will degrade and compost in 12 to 24 months. They also seem to hold odors in well too, Because of the price I am not sure I will buy this brand. I am going to shop around first for another eco-friendly brand that has a better price first. I'll keep you posted. |

Clean Well Hand Sanitizer |
| Lisa's Review | I am a Germaphobe who is constantly using antibacterial Wet Wipes. It has been a love hate relationship with the Wet Wipes though. I love the fact that they kill germs, but hate the drying alcohol, how harsh they seem on my skin and know that they are not a healthy choice (checkout this site for safety ratings Skin Deep: Cosmetic Safety Database). So when trying Clean Well Hand Sanitizer, the list of ingredients looked pretty natural, the review on Skin Deep gave them a low hazard rating, and I like the citrus sent. The product is priced nice too $3.19 for approximately 225 + sprays. Clean Well also makes wipe too. Going out to buy the wipes now, and I am going to make the switch to Clean Well. |

Tom's Of Main Toothpaste |
| Stephanie's Review | I love cinnamon and was excited to try it but I did not like it all. I hated it, in fact. It was too much of a hydrogen peroxide/baking powder combination. As much as I hate to waste things, this will not go back into my mouth. |
